Triptyque

Triptyque

Paris 2013

The subject is present, ubiquitous.

Freeze frame on the area.

The camera reveals an accurate, yet insufficient, given view.
The frame only restitutes an infinitesimal fraction of that which was captured.

The lead pencil and paint brush are used to question, examine, identify and interpret the surface.
Colors and substances are applied in both premeditated and improvised gestures.

The painting finally unravels its optical alchemy.
